That happens to me, as well. Maybe it's a glitch? I suggest photos and then return to the page to see the "suggest" button available again, or the photo is featured, but the credit goes to someone else (not saying that getting credit for suggesting really matters, at least the photo is featured), or, the photo is never featured.

yeah i suggest a lot of pictures too but they almost never get feautured.

What gets me is most of the time the person who gets the credit dosen't buzz or leave a comment either.....I checked the one today that I suggested I think yesterday and they didn't comment or buzz. From now on I'm going to say I suggested it in my comment and see what happens....I suggested your photo with Tahnee reading the paper and I was the first person there it wasn't even on the sidebar yet Becky but it was featured by someone else. That was the very first time I believe I got to your page and I was SOoooooo Excited that maybe I managed to get one of your photos featured BUT NO !!!!!!!

I agree with you Ashdood that the important thing is that the photo gets featured but I always feel that I'm giving someone bad luck by suggesting it so I pass by a lot of really good photos....I don't want to put a jinx on peoples photos....OH well I guess I'm being neurotic but I would suggest to people that if they suggest a photo they should at least make a comment like all of us do...And from now on you should say that you suggested it in case favorites are being given first choice : ]

I think Kassady is right. I don't think it is personal. I have the same thing happen.
If you like something, suggest it anyways. I do like your idea of writing a comments saying you suggested it. You know what I find intersting is that I check my nectorine post after it was posted and noticed that it had been suggested but moments later the suggestion button was back on. Kinda weird... Anyways, don't let this get you down, JJ. I love ya! ♥ :)

I suggest quite often-ish but nothing ever gets picked :(

aw, well its enough for me that youre a great buzzfriend and you always take the time to comment my stuff :) but i understand its frustrating. i think its a good idea to let people know that youve suggested their pictures, it certainly cant hurt

You do realize that sometimes a photo is suggested by 10 or more people, right? And if so, the system gives credit to whomever I (or Rich or Bree) choose at the time. We aren't picking on anyone and it has nothing to do with who you are. Each time a photo is suggested multiple times, we have to choose ONE person. It has to do more with the photo, not who suggested it anyway.

How does that happen, though? I thought, as soon as it is suggested the first time, that the button is disabled for other users? Just wondering :)

Yeah, that happens to me fairly often too. And then I go to the Featured Photos page, and I'm like "What?! I suggested that first!" and then I take a breath and remind myself that the important part is that a great photo was featured and everyone who looks at that page will see it. And then I laugh at myself for being silly. :)

But when something I suggest does get featured, I click on the link that goes to all the photos I've suggested that have been featured, and I revel in all the beauty XD

Well, it must stay there for a certain amount of time, otherwise, how else could multiple people suggest the same thing?

I usually assumed, when I noticed it, that since there are 2 or 3 people at Buzznet choosing what to feature, that the first time it was suggested, one person denied it, but the second time someone else looked at it, and chose it....
