SUGGESTING PHOTOS IS SUCH A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT FOR ME.........

I guess this would be a RANT but I'm so disappointed with Buzznet for not featuring photos that I have suggested..........At least in the last week 4 photos that I suggested have been featured but by other people when I was the first person to get to the page and suggest.........I really don't want to even bother anymore if I'm just being left out on purpose. And I'm not suggesting a lot of photos either only ones I feel are really outstanding. I'm happy they were featured but not happy that my suggestion was overlooked : [[[[[[[

MY FIRST SNOW OF THE WINTER SEASON............

Before today we have only had less than 2 inches of SNOW for the winter season..........I took so many photos that I thought you may like to look at.............

My day started with him, this was the first photo I got of him just as he shook the snow off his feathers were still fluffed out. In case you haven't seen the one I posted of him today this is a Northern Goshawk he was about 2 feet tall..........

This is supposed to keep the birds from crashing into the window, but I get quite a few collisions anyhow.......

I grew this Spruce tree from a seed, it's about Seven feet tall now.............

This is my Lady Bug House, in the summer the bush to the left of it always has lot's of Lady Bugs on it...I'm not sure if they ever use it but it is there for them............

And Yes I did shovel some snow.........I hope you enjoyed your little trip through Bizarreland !!!!!!!

FEET " GLORIOUS " FEET.......The inspiration for this journal was Seb's photo of his best friend Hugo's feet..........

How many of us just take our feet for granted, as long as they get us around and don't hurt WELL TOO MUCH we don't really think about them. Well only when it comes to shoes then most of us get totally obsessed with them. We go through many steps in this process called buying SHOES or their close cousins SNEAKERS, BOOTS, SANDALS and SLIPPERS some of us have absolutely NO problem others DO..........I hate buying them because I have very sensitive feet meaning at my age it's hard to find things that are comfortable. And I can add to that I don't buy leather shoes at all but because I can't seem to find good non-leather sneakers I only make that exception............But I only buy a new pair of sneakers every two to three years, so even though I'm not a person obsessed with shoes I'm sure many of you are............

THESE ARE MY FELIX THE CAT SLIPPER'S ..............

THESE ARE MY NEW NIKE'S.......I only wear Nike's and my old ones I wear around the house for the next couple of years.........

YES I LOVE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS..............

THESE I LOVE but their not very comfortable.......Oh and their not leather........

THESE I LOVE ALSO and their not the most comfortable either, but I usually only wear them when I go somewhere and they are non-leather also........

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE BOOTS they are very comfortable and here are two more pictures below......

BELOW ARE TWO NEW PAIRS OF BOOTS THAT I BOUGHT FOR THE SNOW.......I really didn't want two pairs but it was buy one pair get 50% off the second pair and these are Sporto's and they were $40 a pair.....

I think these are so ugly but they are good for around the yard in the snow if we ever get any........

THESE I LIKE MUCH BETTER..........OH and that's fake fur.........

And now for those OLD BOOTS of mine and they are leather......and mind you I wore higher heels than these.

And that's a painting of my late cat BABES thats where it always sits..........

WELL HERE'S MY RIGHT FOOT I have pretty good feet for my age and as my husband would say NO toes, LOL My feet are on the flat side and very sensitive I detest walking barefoot even in my house.........

AND THESE ARE MY GOTH TOES AS I CALL THEM this morning...........

So I hope this makes you think more about how much stress our feet go through every day of our lives. And I hope you take good care of them we only get ONE PAIR.........

THANK YOU SEB FOR GIVING ME THIS IDEA FOR A FUN JOURNAL and I hope my friends on here decide to show us some of their shoes and maybe even their feet..........OH AND I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS " My Feet are Sooo.....Ticklish "

THE DAY THAT TOOK THE BEATLES AWAY FROM US.......December 8th 1980....at about 10:50 pm.....

As John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono stepped from a limousine and into the archway of the Dakota apartment building Mark David Chapman 25 of Honolulu, called out, "Mr.Lennon?" then went into a "combat stance" and pumped  five bullets into him with a Charter Arms .38-cal. handgun. Immediately after the shooting, John staggered up six steps into an office at the rear of the guard area, cried out "I am shot"and collapsed on his face and died in the back of a patrol car on the way to the hospital. His very last word was "YES" when asked if he was John Lennon......

Chapman who had been in NYC for a week and had been lingering outside the Dakota all weekend was charged with homicide. When arrested Chapman was carrying a copy of Lennon's latest album "Double Fantasy" which John had autographed for him hours before the shooting......Even thought this next picture may be disturbing I think it is so ironic how much it copies the image from Double Fantasy that is why I'm including it !!!!!!December 30 1980..........

This is some of my memorabilia most of it is just John Lennon I have a lot of Beatle memorabilia which I will do at another time and this is all original stuff~

1983 Anthony Maio Poster....

January 13, 1981.........
February 20, 1984........
January 12, 1981..........
August 25, 1981.........
December 10-16 1980........

December 30, 1980, Well if you look at their prediction they were right about that one ~

I own that original drawing of John Lennon, you will see that at another time...........

I did this clay sculpture in 1964 and I think it is quite amazing that it looks very much like John instead of the other Beatles...It was supposed to represent the Mop Top's............

....................................................1980....................................................................

These are a couple of image's from December 14, 1980 when there was a Memorial for John Lennon at the place where he was slain only days before. I walked on that spot where he was brutally murdered at 10:50 PM EST......In New York City.........At 2 pm over 100,000 maybe more gathered in front of the Dakota and in Central Park at the request of Yoko Ono who asked that we "Pray for John's Soul" ........We closed our eyes for 10 minutes in Prayer ~

This was taken by me from on top of an NBC news truck...........

These are some of my things I got that day except for my T Shirt which is packed away ~

I know that this has been a very long journal but I hope it gave you time to reflect on a life that was taken away way too soon. John was only 40 years old and he had so much more to give but I will leave you with one more IMAGE and this was his double fantasy..............

COMEDY TIME........... MY 5 FAVORITE COMEDY MOVIES OF ALL TIME........

Well I thought now should be a HAPPY TIME and a little humor would be a good thing to spread around on Buzznet. So I tried to pick my favorite funny movies and that isn't an easy thing to do because I have quite a few that I love but these I feel were the best of the best so let the fun begin ~

5.  "YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN" This movie is such a classic, released in 1974 written by the genius Mel Brooks and the Black and White makes it feel like the original 1931 film FRANKSTEIN.......One little known fact about this movie is that the lab equipment used in this movie was the same that was used in the 1931 movie ~
Marty Feldman as Egor or is it Igor was just amazing and he would change his HUMP from one side to the other during the filming of the movie and drive everyone to laughter....And what would have happened if he did steal that right brain instead of the ABBYNORMAL one...........He was Brilliant and OH those are his real EYES !!!!!!!!!

Here are some of the cast with Mel Brooks on the left, Peter Boyle as the monster, Marty Feldman as Igor, Gene Wilder as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and Teri Garr as Inga~

4. " FOUL PLAY " This Romantic Comedy and comedic Thriller from 1978 starred Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn as the main characters but Dudley Moore stole this movie with his I'M GONNA GET LAID SCENE it was just Priceless, you need to see this if only for this scene ~

3. " THE MAN WITH TWO BRAINS " Well I don't even know where to begin with this 1983 movie it is just so BIZARRE..........Other then the fact it has a BRAIN in a JAR that can talk named Anne Ma..Mel..Ma..Hey and a doctor named Dr. Michael HfUhRuHuRR now your going to have to see this movie to learn how to pronounce that one. This movie is about a Pioneering Neurosurgeon who falls in love with a Brain in a JAR yeah you got it ANNE. But to throw a monkey wrench into his affair there is his new and cruel unfaithful wife Delores Benedict who her idea of making love to her new husband is letting him suck on her finger. This movie stars STEVE MARTIN as the doctor who invented the new Cranial Screw Top Brain Surgery to make it easy to get to the brain and such a wonderful array of character's including one such Prostitute that has a body to die for but a voice that will make you what to chop her head off but certainly not for her BRAIN.... I DON'T MIND !!!!!!!!
In the old B&W

And in color but would you trust this man with your BRAIN in either !!!!!!

2. " PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE " In July of 1985....PeeWeeHerman went on this hilarious cross country adventure when his Beloved Bicycle is stolen. Why you ask did he have to go all the way there well some people believe in Fortune Tellers and PeeWee listened to her when she told him his bike was in the basement of the ALAMO the funny thing is the Alamo doesn't have a basement........I love PeeWee and his antics are pure and crazy but his Hells Angel Biker Moment in the bar " TEQUILA " is even a PeeWee hater must see [you can see it on You Tube or even on Google] But be WARNED this movie has  a movie theater in it but it's a DRIVE IN...............LOL
And this is probably my favorite scene just because I knew he could do it !!!!!!!!!!
I know it's tiny but those are SNAKES and if you have seen the movie you will know this was his biggest fear.........You Go PeeWee ~

And finally my number ONE........... " THE JERK " I won't say much about this one because I can't imagine anyone hasn't seen this Weird and somewhat controversial movie...This 1979 comic masterpiece stars STEVE MARTIN " I was born a poor black child " nuff said !!!!!
Well that's it I hope you see some of these movies if you haven't already and this time I am going to TAG some friends and ones that cover the young and old........

I'm tagging: Boz48730, Goldbrickdreams, Littlesis129, Seb, Woaini

BAH HUMBUG !!!!!!!!! My 4 favorite Christmas Movies and 1 Christmas BritCom........

I know they were supposed to be All movies but I really couldn't think of 5 movies and I only have one movie that many others picked because it is a favorite of mine........

1. This is my favorite " The march of the Wooden Soldiers " I have seen this movie at least once every year since I was a child, I just fell in love with TomTom and thought I would marry him someday.......He looks like Paul McCartney somewhat......it was just a charming movie and Laurel and Hardy are the best..........But the Boogy men would scare me to death until I got older and saw how phoney they really looked......Now I just laugh !!!!!!!!!!!!
2. " A CHRISTMAS CAROL " The 1951 british version starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge.....There have many versions but I think this is the best one....I always can't wait to see him in the cemetery looking at his gravestone....................
3. This is my favorite Christmas Britcom " MERRY CHRISTMAS MR. BEAN " This is nothing short of Brilliant........We watch this all the time and never get sick of it " Is the Turkey on "................
And in case you don't know who Mr. Bean is this is him..................
And if you have seen this episode you will remember this.......................
My husband gave me this for a Christmas present one year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS...............Pure Genius !!!!!!!!!!!!

And finally my number 5......... " THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL " for the little child in me................

WELL THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO FINALLY TELL YOU WHO I MET IN 1963..............

If you read my journal " EIGHT RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THE LADY AT BIZARRELAND " you would know that I told everyone that my eighth random fact was that I had spent an afternoon with the most famous woman in the world. So I guess now you know who this is.

I had a special invitation and a privilege to be able to spend hours with this historic painting. At this time in 1963 I was able to be inches from her and I even touched her. There were only three of us in the room at that time. In 1963 she was not behind glass as she is now. Of course for many years I felt like I may be cursed for touching such an Icon and I felt I would never reveal this but now that I lived to be 60 years old the time has come. To some people it would not be a big deal but in some ways it made me want to be an Artist even more........

THOSE BEAUTIFUL HANDS~

AND YOU CAN'T NOT LOVE THAT SMILE ON HER FACE.......I WILL FOREVER~
THIS IS HOW ADVERTISING WAS IN 1963........................
AND THIS IS TODAY IN 2007..........SHE IS OVER 500 YEARS OLD NOW~
I THINK THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BIGGEST HIGHLIGHTS IN MY LIFE SO FAR, just to know that I was able to be so close to something so famous in the world and to be inspired by her...She is Breathtaking~

THE QUESTIONS THAT HAVEN'T BEEN ASKED ABOUT ME ALREADY...............

OF course you can ask me anything except my name and address and if I still have sex ....... Well now that I'm going into my Sixth decade and believe me I would rather not toot my own horn about that but some things you just can't deny...........And besides I have more things about which you can ask Questions. And I do know a lot about popular culture besides all the old crap............So I'm going to put my What am I thinking about look on so Please Ask~

THE STRANGE AND WONDERFUL SAGA LIVES ON...............

Long Island's BIG DUCK moves back to almost where it started. "Welcome Home "BIG DUCK" read the banner waving above Route 24, commemorating the successful relocation of the historic Flanders landmark.

The BIG DUCK, built in 1931 by Martin Maurer in Riverhead as a shop to sell ducks and eggs, was first moved in 1936 to Flanders and made it's home there for 52 years. In 1988 a builder bought the property to build Condo's on so the DUCK was moved to a county park in Hampton Bays, where it remained for 19 years but the condo's were never built and it was decided that it was time for HIM/HER to go back home. So on Friday night at 11:20 pm the DUCK made the 4 mile journey from Sears Bellows County Park in Hampton Bays to Flanders in 4 1/2 hours and landed back in the nest at 3:42 am............
The DUCK .......Listed as a place to see on Roadside America and on the National Register of Historic Places and the fact that Long Island was a known for it's large Duck farms.......
Decorated at Christmas Time.....I actually was inside it in 1978 and it is quite small in there. The BIG DUCK may weigh 20,000 lbs. and it is about 20 feet tall but the structure mainly is wire mesh with a sprayed on layer of concrete. The roads had to be closed and the wires had to be lifted so it could fit under for the 4 mile trip.....It was moved on remote control-operated, self propelled hydraulic dollies and on a cushion of oil which reduced the chance of cracking or twisting.........So the 76 year old is back at the Farm I just hope It's HAPPY !!!!!
The BIG DUCK is in the area where it say The Hamptons [on the word THE] I live just west of Port Jefferson by the Long Island Sound....Wave to me and I'll Wave back.............

MY TOP 10 MOVIES and that's not easy to do, since I'm almost 60 years old............

There are so many movies that I could have picked so many from my childhood but I tried to pick some that left a good impression on me................And I also tried to pick movies that other people didn't pick.

10. Chocolat......even though it takes about 45 minutes before Johnny Depp shows up it is more than worth the wait. This is a Delicious comedy starring Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp and my favorite actress Judi Dench. Made in 2000 in France in a Chocolaterie you could gain 20 lbs. just watching it and Johnny is a river rat a Sexy one at that...CHOCOLATE !
9. Moulin Rouge.......Unbelievably colorful and intense movie French again not for someone that gets headaches easily. When I first saw this movie I had trouble watching the first 20 minutes because of the intenseness but now I have gotten used to it and I've seen it over 30 times......Just Beautiful and Spectacular and I just love Nicole and Ewan but wanted a different ending........Roxanne !
8. Cabaret.....Powerful Film, set in Berlin Germany in 1929 on the eve of the Nazi's rise to power I think everyone should see this movie~
7. This is actually going to be two Foreign Films made by the Oscar nominated female Italian director Lina Wertmuller who is now 81 years old. She is the first woman director to be nominated for an Oscar, she got 4 nominations for her 1975 film SEVEN BEAUTIES a film that was funny and brutal at the same time Giancarlo Giannini is a first class ACTOR~
And probably my favorite of her's SWEPT AWAY by an unusual Destiny in the blue sea of August, and yes that is the full title of the movie but please don't confuse it with the pitiful re-make that Madonna did of it. This movie is a about a Rich liberated industrialists wife that finds EROTIC fullfillment only after being TAMED by a macho Communist deck hand who is working on a yacht......Well when he takes her alone on a dinghy to go swimming they end up stranded on a deserted Island all HELL breaks loose....Who's  gonna win this one~

That's the Director in the middle, yeah she's not a looker but she's Brilliant~
6. A Knight's Tale......We Will...We Will.......ROCK YOU !!!!!! Love Queen Love this Movie~
5. SECRETARY....YUMMY, EROTIC.......Lot's of SPANKING......Just what the LIBERATED Woman needs and it's not X- Rated~

4. RESTORATION........This movie is a Lavish Gorgeous and at the same time Revolting story that takes place in the Court of King Charles ll  ........Robert Downey Jr. is Superb in this along with Meg Ryan, Hugh Grant and Sam Neill.......If you have never seen this please DO~
3. The Shining........Horror at it's best 1980 Style the Overlook Hotel will never be the same and Room 217.......................I lived at 217_____________CREEPY !!!!! Please don't come for me JACK
But if you do I will do this to YOU
2. SOMEWHERE IN TIME.........I want to go to that Time when I die The Grand Hotel and another movie made in 1980 a beautiful Time Travel to ROMANCE and Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour .....And it was the PENNY that naughty Penny~

1. And my number ONE which most of you know I love...DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN......I so identify with these two characters Susan and Roberta ....Madonna and Rosanna Arquette....They are me and I am them, and if you have never seen the movie watch it and there I am~
I think I have this TOP........Madonna wore it in the Ladies Room
Well that is it and I have NO idea who to tag, but I'll probably just go to some pages and tag whoever doesn't have a journal already.........SO WATCH OUT I MAY BE COMING TO YOUR PAGE........................

These are my 10 favorite Bands, Musicians and Songwriters..........

It's hard to pick only Ten out of so many, but I think all the one's I have picked are very talented and diverse. And some of my choices are talented songwriters also...........

10. Antigone Rising.......This is an All Girl Group started by two sisters Kristen and Cathy Henderson that come from my area. Then they were joined by Dena, Cassidy and Jen. Girl Rock at it's best so I thought they deserved a spot on here~
9. Rufus Wainwright part of the famous Wainwright family.......Rufus has his own unique sound kind of pop and opera called Popera and Baroque, He's had an interesting Life~
8. Procol Harum the 60's British Rock group fronted by Gary Brooker........My favorite song of all time is " A Whiter Shade of Pale " a song of some controversary but I think one of the best and most haunting songs of the last 40 years, and they still perform~
And Vintage Procol Harum, what they looked like in the 60's...........
7. Ben Folds formally The Ben Folds Five, when he was with Robert Sledge and Darren Jesse in the mid 90's.......Ben is such a talented singer, musician and songwriter. Hailing from North Carolina his music is poetic and inspiring my favorite " The Luckiest " .........
6. Stretch Princess, I know most of you probably never heard of this group but you may know their song " Freakshow " SP is a British alternative rock band formed in the mid 90's fronted by vocalist Jo Lloyd with James Wright and Dave Magee.....Although I do believe they are taking a break because James Wright is battling cancer.............

5. My Chemical Romance, better known on here as MCR, or GEE GEE GEE.......MIKEY MIKEY MIKEY......FRANKIE FRANKIE FRANKIE........RAY RAY RAY.......And BOB~
4. Green Day what can you say about these guys, California Punk Rockers that have adopted a political agenda and Billie Joe is a bundle of ENERGY.............
3. HIM.........The Ultimate in Goth Rock verging on Romantic Metal hailing from the wonderful country of Finland...And My God VILLE VALO is the sexiest man ever......

2. OPETH....Sweden has produced this amazing versatile group......Starting as a Heavy Metal, Death and Doom Metal in 1990 this group has taken on a different sound becoming a more progressive rock band. Incorporating influences from jazz, blues, rock and folk they have crossed genre borders and created a different sound unlike most of the music today. Their guitar RIFF'S haunting, I love their original music but their album Damnation, Superb~
And Finally my Number ONE Group A FIRE INSIDE aka AFI.......What can I say I absolutely love this group, they are so inspiring and talented and I hope they always remain together. There are Thousands of photos of them but I chose this one...........
And This one..............................For you Alex....................
Well there are many more bands that deserve to be mentioned but I tried to pick ones that I think fit into my life and If you never heard some of these try to you may like them also. Since I'm so late in doing this journal and I think most everyone has been tagged I'm going to not TAG anyone. I think I was tagged three times, and Thank you for tagging me !!!!!!

8 Random Facts about the lady at Bizarreland

Here are the rules

1. Only list 8 facts    2. You must then list 8 tags at the end of the post. This means that you must name 8 people of Buzznet who now must do the same blog.  3. Go and comment on their page and tell them to come and read yours......Now don't blame me for all this work it was Marks idea.

1. My first random fact is that I don't know how to type this so each one is under the last one, so I'm not going to even try.  2. I have a good number of phobias like planes, boats, the water so as you can see I don't like to travel. But even though you might think I'm missing out on things I don't feel that way at all. I'm a very homey person.  3. I'm a self taught Artist I never went to college but I did take a course in Advertizing Art in a college, but since then all of that has been computerized, doesn't that figure.  4. My first job was on Madison Ave in NYC as an Artist but I quit after 2 weeks because of the long commute.  5. I also took a 2 year college course in Floral Design but I changed my mind when we started to see how involved the floral business is, it's not an easy business to run and very hard work.  6. I used to work on cars, and I've been into Hot Rods since 1962 I even tried to take Auto Mechanics in high school but being a girl in those days I only lasted a few weeks before the guys annoyed me. But I was a gearhead and most of my friends in school were guys.  7.  My biggest and only regret in life was that I never got to live on a farm (humane) in the country. I was born in NYC and lived there for the first 10 years of my life but I feel that I was a country girl in a city girls body. 8. My last random fact is in 1963 I met the most famous woman in the world and spent an afternoon with her, you will find out who this was in a journal that I'm trying to write soon~

And this is who I will tag: Anderxxx, Zomgkayla, Nixiberry, MCRand30obsessed, Twisters, MarilynJustine, Goldbrickdreams, Hope88

Each of you must tag 8 more people and you should try to tag someone who isn't already tagged. Make some new friends~
