I don't really feel it since I just put the pressure on the hard veins in the wings...If it's done right you don't touch the scales which can be removed but I'm so used to picking these guys up but most of the other ones I don't unless it's necessary : ]]]

LOL..I've actually stopped my car when I see a injured butterfly in the road to pick it up...Here's a hint though some butterflies are attracted to the pavement, they feed off the salts and minerals especially when it's wet from a rainshower..Oh and they love wet beach sand a big favorite !!!!
