This is a new gallery of photos from my time in the 1970's. I was married in 1969 and I know most of the people here on Buzznet were not even born. I thought it would be nice to show you how life was in those days. You even may see a few photos from the late 60's :D
BACK TO THE 70'S ...... CAR SHOW
This photo was scanned from an actual photo but it was so faded and one of those 3x3 type of photos. I tried my best to bring out some detail but it's not very good. This is me and my first husband at the New York City Coliseum car show in either 1968 or 1969. We won first place in our catagory Best Street Coupe. It was our 1932 Ford Three Window Coupe. I will try and tell you what I was wearing since I had to take all the color out of the photo and make it a bit sepia toned. My outfit was a brown velvet vest and bell bottom pants, salmon colored satin high neck shirt with laced cuffs and collar. I had on a brown fedora hat. My husband had on a Nehru shirt they were shirts with no collar that were popular in the 60's and early 70's. The Beatles wore them and so did the Hippies. My hair was still very long but it was all pinned up in large curls they were also popular :D
